Moldovan president meets U.S. Ambassador

Chisinau, 18 September /MOLDPRES/ - President Igor Dodon today had a working meeting with Ambassador of the United States Dereck J. Hogan, the presidential press service has reported.

The officials tackled a wide range of issues on the interaction between the two states. The interlocutors ascertained the productive dialogue at different levels and in diverse sectors of mutual interest.

In particular, the sides discussed the subject on the starting of the campaign for the election of Moldova’s president. In the context, Igor Dodon reiterated the intention to participate in the electoral process without using the administrative resources. At the same time, the head of state highlighted the firm intention of the Moldovan leadership and the state’s competent institutions to organize transparent, free and democratic elections.
