As many as 665 new COVID-19 cases recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours

Chisinau, 18 September /MOLDPRES/ -A number of 2,776 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours, of which 665 cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed, by 100 cases more than on 17 September. As many as 45,648 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.

According to the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry (MSMPS), thirty seven out of all cases registered are medical employees: 14 physicians, 17 medical assistants and 6 auxiliary staff employees.

The health condition of the people hit is as follows: 578 are in serious condition (of whom 36 patients are connected to assisted breathing apparatus) and 1,380 persons are in medium seriousness condition; the other patients are in satisfactory condition.

Another 495 people have been treated and discharged. As many as 33,734 persons have been healed of COVID-19.

At the same time, MSMPS informs about the registration of another 16 deaths triggered by COVID-19 and there are 1,186 people dead of this virus in all.
