As many as 688 new COVID-19 cases recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours

Chisinau, 19 September /MOLDPRES/ -A number of 2,664 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours, of which 688 cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed, by 23 cases more than on 18 September. As many as 46,336 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.

According to the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry (MSMPS), 42 out of all cases registered are medical employees: 11 physicians, 22 medical assistants and 9 auxiliary staff employees.

The health condition of the people hit is as follows: 589 are in serious condition (of whom 37 patients are connected to assisted breathing apparatus) and 1,352 persons are in medium seriousness condition; the other patients are in satisfactory condition.

Another 502 people have been treated and discharged. As many as 34,236 persons have been healed of COVID-19 in all.

At the same time, MSMPS informs about the registration of another 15 deaths triggered by COVID-19 and there are 1,201 people dead of this virus in all.
