As many as 260 new COVID-19 cases recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours

Chisinau, 20 September /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 1,142 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours, of which 260 cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed. As many as 46,596 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.

According to data by the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry (MSMPS), 19 out of all cases registered are medical employees: 8 physicians, 10 medical assistants and 1 auxiliary staff employee.

The health condition of the people hit is as follows: 596 are in serious condition (of whom 37 patients are connected to assisted breathing apparatus) and 1,380 persons are in medium seriousness condition; the other patients are in satisfactory condition.

Another 400 people have been treated and discharged. As many as 34,236 persons have been healed of COVID-19 in all.

At the same time, MSMPS informs about the registration of another two deaths triggered by COVID-19 and there are 1,203 people dead of this virus in all.
