As many as 4,942 dwellings purchased within First Home programme in Moldova

Chisinau, 21 September /MOLDPRES/ - As many as 4,942 dwellings have been purchased in Moldova within the First Home governmental programme. Another 11 applications have been accepted and guarantee contracts are to be signed in this respect. The overall sum of the loans provided by banks is of 2.49 billion lei and the total value of active guarantees is of 1.24 billion lei.   

According to the Finance Ministry, 3,405 out of 4,942 beneficiaries are families and 1,537 are young unmarried people. The average age of the applicants is of 31.3 years. Also, 717 people out of all beneficiaries enjoy compensations from the state budget within the First Home 2 programme, 1,870 - within the First Home 3 programme, 3,423 – within the First Home 4 programme and 1 – within the First Home 5 programme.  

The sum of compensations provided from the state budget for the partial coverage of the expenses borne by beneficiaries to pay the mortgage loan within the First Home state programme is of 22.66 million lei. ‘’Thus, within the First Home 2 programme, compensations worth 6.72 million lei were provided from the state budget, 14.15 million lei – within the First Home 3 programme, 1.77 million lei – within the First Home 4 programme,’’ the Finance Ministry noted.  

The average area of the dwellings bought through the programme is of 60.18 square metres. The average value of the dwellings purchased is of 598.46 thousand lei. As many as 4,626 of the dwellings are placed in urban zones and 316 - in rural zones. A number of 4,539 dwellings purchased are apartments and 403 – private houses.

Beneficiary of the First Home governmental programme can be any citizen of Moldova aged between 18 and 50 years, who is officially employed at a state institution or private company and has incomes from official sources. The share of personal initial participation is 5 per cent of the dwelling’s purchasing price.
