Moldovan deputy premier for reintegrationhas meeting with Ambassador of France

Chisinau, 21 September /MOLDPRES/ - Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Cristina Lesnic today had a meeting with Ambassador of France to Moldova Pascal Le Deunff. The subjects of discussion were focused on a wide range of aspects dealing with the implementation of the Berlin Plus Package, Chisinau-Tiraspol dialogue, carrying out of the decision by the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) in Catan, human rights, the Reintegration Policies Bureau has reported.
Cristina Lesnic informed about the present stage in the process of talks and the current situation in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic.
A special subject of the discussion represented the telecommunications, which is component part of the Berlin Plus Package. The officials exchanged opinions on prospects for future for the phone interconnection of the citizens from both banks of Dniester. Cristina Lesnic reiterated Chisinau’s position, set forth at the last 1+1 meeting, according to which all mobile telephony operators must comply with the provisions of the Moldovan legislation.
Also, the chief negotiator on behalf of Chisinau stressed the developments in terms of human rights during the pandemic and about the individual cases which need special attention.
The deputy prime minister informed about the work of the Bureau on this period and about the fact that she would cooperate with the national authorities for formulating proposals on ensuring the security of the electoral process and citizens at the presidential elections.
The officials discussed the prospect for organizing and holding a meeting in the 5+2 format, role of the measures of strengthening trust between the two banks of Dniester, process of Moldova’s reintegration.
