Moldovan foreign affairs minister has phone conversation with counterpart from Azerbaijan

Chisinau, 21 September /MOLDPRES/ - The Moldovan-Azeri relations and prospects for their extension, including in the conditions of maintaining the restrictions triggered by the COVID-19 pandemic, today were tackled at a phone conversation between the Moldovan diplomacy head, Oleg Tulea, and his Azeri counterpart Jeyhun Bayramov, the Foreign Affairs and European Integration Ministry’s press service has reported.
Minister Oleg Tulea expressed thanks to the Azeri authorities for the humanitarian assistance provided to Moldova in last May, in the context of the Moldovan cabinet’s efforts to combat the COVID-19 pandemic. Also, the two ministers reiterated both sides’ interest in boosting the political dialogue through organizing consultations and mutual visits at various levels, including between the leadership of the foreign affairs ministries.
Oleg Tulea and Jeyhun Bayramov highlighted the importance of organizing an ordinary meeting of the Moldovan-Azeri intergovernmental commission for economic cooperation.
