A number of 200 new COVID-19 cases recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours

Chisinau, 21 September /MOLDPRES/ -A number of 1,093 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours, of which 200 cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed. As many as 46,796 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.

According to data by the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry (MSMPS), 17 out of all cases registered are medical employees: 10 physicians, 4 medical assistants and 3 auxiliary staff employee.

The health condition of the people hit is as follows: 592 are in serious condition (of whom 34 patients are connected to assisted breathing apparatus) and 1,429 persons are in medium seriousness condition; the other patients are in satisfactory condition.

Another 382 people have been treated and discharged. As many as 35,018 persons have been healed of COVID-19 in all.

At the same time, MSMPS informs about the registration of another eight deaths triggered by COVID-19 and there are 1,211 people dead of this virus in all. Among the dead people, there are two physicians, aged 45 and 77. So far, 35 medical employees have died of the new-type coronavirus.
