Chisinau, 22 September /MOLDPRES/- The operative structures, both in Chisinau and in the districts received 52 new cars today. The car distribution event took place in Chisinau in the presence of Minister of Internal Affairs Pavel Voicu.
The head of the General Inspectorate of Police, Sergiu Paiu, said that this acquisition of cars will cover the shortage of off-road vehicles that the police had so far.
Voicu noted that due to the new acquisitions, the police will be able to intervene more quickly in emergency calls and will be more present in the street. "We want to strengthen and modernize the police, and the money allocated for the purchase of these cars shows that the state also wants it," said Voicu.
According to the police, out of the 52 cars, 11 will be distributed in Chisinau.
