As many as 786 new COVID-19 cases recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours

Chisinau, 23 September /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 3,438 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours, of which 786 cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed. As many as 48,232 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.

At a news conference, the leadership of the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry (MSMPS) informed that a record number of people infected had been recorded today and 53 out of the infected people were medical employees: physicians – 23, medical assistants – 21.

The health condition of the people hit is as follows: 564 are in serious condition (of whom 34 patients are connected to assisted breathing apparatus).

Another 529 people have been treated and discharged. As many as 36,071 persons have been healed of COVID-19 in all.

At the same time, MSMPS informs about the registration of another 14 deaths triggered by COVID-19 and there are 1,244 people dead of this virus in all.
