As many as 721 new COVID-19 cases recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours

Chisinau, 24 September /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 2,621 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours, of which 721 cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed. As many as 48,953 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.

According to the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry (MSMPS), five out of all cases are of import. Thirty seven out of the infected people were medical employees: physicians – 12, medical assistants – 18, auxiliary staff employees – 7.

The health condition of the people hit is as follows: 592 are in serious condition (of whom 35 patients are connected to assisted breathing apparatus); 1.345 people are in medium serious condition and the other patients are in satisfactory condition.

Another 572 people have been treated and discharged. As many as 36,643 persons have been healed of COVID-19 in all.

At the same time, MSMPS informs about the registration of another eight deaths triggered by COVID-19 and there are 1,252 people dead of this virus in all.
