National Extraordinary Public Health Commission allows holding of specialized agricultural exhibitions, festivals, fairs in Moldova

Chisinau, 24 September /MOLDPRES/ - The National Extraordinary Public Health Commission (CNESP) held a meeting today. The CNESP members established the mechanism of management of the pandemic crisis nationally, as a result of adjusting the criteria for assessing the epidemiological situation and get them in line with the methodologies applied internationally, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.

Thus, the degrees of alert corresponding to the level of risk of transmission of the COVID-19 virus will be assigned territorially, depending on more factors, which will be calculated by the National Public Health Agency (ANSP) once in 14 days. Based on these degrees, the territorial public health commissions will establish the public health measures fitting the degree of alert from the administrative territory managed.

Also, CNESP allows the holding of specialized agricultural exhibitions, festivals and fairs, with the observance of the instructions on measures of prevention and control of the COVID-19 infection.  

At the same time, the Commission allowed the carrying out of activities, with the presence of the audience, including at the headquarters theatre and concert institutions and community centres. The final decision to reopen the culture institutions will belong to the founders, only if they meet all rules provided for in the CNESP instruction.   

The number of audience will be limited to 50 per cent of the halls’ capacity, with the observance of the distance of at least 1.5 metres between people. The wearing of masks will be compulsory during the entire event, which will not exceed two hours.  

Depending on the evolution and tendency of the epidemiological situation of the COVID-19 infection, the restrictive measures will be revised.
