Anti-COVID-19 medicine Remdesivir brought to Moldova

Chisinau, 28 September /MOLDPRES/ - The Medicine and Medical Devices Agency (AMDM) today informed that the anti-COVID-19 preparation Remdesivir had been brought to Moldova.
According to AMDM, in Moldova, the Remdesivir medicine is provided for in the national provisional Clinical Protocol titled, Infection with the new-type coronavirus in the treatment of patients infected with the SARS COV-2 virus.
“For AMDM, in its capacity of regulator in the medicine and medical devices sector, it is very important to ensure the presence in Moldova of the most efficient medicines in the treatment of COVID-19. Remdesivir is one of the medicines which we have expected for a long time, being also the first medicine authorized in the USA and EU for the treatment of COVID-19. We will continue making efforts, so that our citizens are provided qualitative and accessible medication,’’ the AMDM director general, Eremei Priseajniuc, said.
According to AMDM’s data, this medicine is brought with the name Covifor and about 2,000 bottles are expected.
