Chisinau, 2 October /MOLDPRES/- Estonia today donated to the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations (IGSU) equipment worth 50,000 euros to prevent and control the spread of the new coronavirus.
According to the IGSU press service, the batch comprises four tunnel-type tents with a capacity of 15 seats each, four air heaters and five ecological toilets. They will be used for the development of mobile quarantine, pre-triage or epidemiological triage centers, near hospital units or other public institutions.
Such tents are used worldwide both as centers for sorting people who may have COVID-19 and as temporary staging points until they are admitted to strategic hospitals.
In collaboration with UNDP, Estonia also contributed to the construction of five community fire and rescue stations in Moldova, which will serve rural communities with a total population of over 58,000.
