3,287,140 citizens recorded in State Register of Voters

Chisinau, 8 October /MOLDPRES/- The total number of voters in the State Register of Voters is 3,287,140.

According to the data by the Central Electoral Commission, out of the total number of voters, 2,798,306 people are assigned to administrative-territorial units of level II.

The difference includes people who have Moldovan citizenship and do not have registration at home or residence, including those who have emigrated authorized abroad (232,631) and citizens entitled to vote recorded in the administrative-territorial units of Transnistria (256,203).

Under the legislation, the basic electoral lists are currently being printed, which are sent by the CEC to the local public administration authorities at least 22 days before the election day.

Also, voters may check the accuracy of registration data in the electoral lists both at the polling station corresponding to the valid domicile or residence, and on the official website of the CEC.
