Moldovan cabinet holds meeting

Chisinau, 13 October /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister Ion Chicu, in the beginning of a today’s cabinet meeting, demanded information on the decisions by the National Extraordinary Public Health Commission (CNESP), the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.   

Health, Labour and Social Protection Minister Viorica Dumbraveanu has informed that, under the today’s CNESP decisions, the number of districts where the red code of alert and emergency state in the public health sector was established had been increased. The official also unveiled the measures which are to be imposed for the citizens who will exercise their right to vote on 1 November at the presidential polls. Thus, the access to the voting stations will be allowed only with the use of the protection mask. In this respect, the electoral bureaus will supple each citizen with a medicinal mask, in order to be able to exercise his/her constitutional right to vote.    

People who are already confirmed as bearers of the COVID-19 virus or who have certain symptoms on the election day can ask to exercise their right to vote through mobile teams due to move to home. The people in self-isolation will be able to benefit from the mobile box too.  

PM Chicu asked the competent institutions to make sure that each citizen will be able to exercise his/her right to vote, no matter whether the person is confirmed or is in self-isolation.   

The cabinet of ministers approved the pilot programme on the creation of multifunctional industrial platforms. Thus, 18 specialized platforms for attracting investments in districts will be set up. The platforms will turn these regions more attractive for industrial development, will enhance the competitiveness, productivity, but especially will create new jobs. The programme will be implemented in three stages and will be financed from the state budget, within the limit of the financial means allocated to this end. Fifty million lei will be earmarked for the creation of the infrastructure and the Organization for Small- Medium-sized Enterprises Sector Development (ODIMM) will ensure the implementation.  

„Two districts, -Cimislia and Ceadar-Lunga, are accepted to those 16 Multifunctional Industrial Platforms (PIM). I welcome the initiative of the administration of these settlements, which have actually already prepared the technical project of the zone meant for PIM.   

The participants in the meeting ruled the allocation of about 647,000 lei from the state budget for paying compensations to the people subjected to political repressions. The money will be transferred to the Cimislia, Ialoveni and Sangerei district councils, to four beneficiaries.  

At the meeting, the ministers approved the earmarking of 2.2 million lei from the government’s Intervention Fund for demolishing a damaged apartment block from the Otaci settlement, northern Ocnita district, as well as the spending sheet needed for allocating construction materials and carrying out the works of liquidating the consequences of the bad weather from several settlements from the Criuleni, Soroca and Glodeni districts.

The cabinet of ministers voted the regulation on single models of the titles of authentication of the right of land owner, way of their filling in, release and preservation. The titles of authentication of the right of land owner remain valid till the entrance into force of the present law. The titles of authentication of the right of land owner are issued by: the local public authorities, in case of the assigning by them of the lands owned by administrative and territorial units; Public Property Agency, in case of the assigning by the state of lands owned by the state.     

Prime Minister Ion Chicu congratulated the Moldovan capital’s residents on the city’s Dedication Day, marked on 14 October and asked the Chisinau residents, as well as the capital’s guests to be cautious and observe the epidemiological measures imposed in the conditions of pandemic.
