Three children from kindergartens, 144 pupils in Moldovan capital infected with COVID-19

Chisinau, 19 October /MOLDPRES/- Three children from kindergartens and 144 pupils from the capital have been infected with COVID-19 in recent days, and in the city's hospitals there are still about 240 seats available for patients infected with the new virus. The data were presented at today's meeting of services of Chisinau city hall.

The head of the General Directorate of Social Assistance and Health, Tatiana Bucearschi, said that the number of infections in the capital is increasing and the prognosis is unfavorable. "So far, over 29,000 cases have been registered in Chisinau, including 540 deaths. From the suburbs of the capital, most cases were found in Durlești, Trușeni, Stăuceni and Băcioi.Currently, over 18,000 patients are monitored online by family doctors, "said Bucearschi.

According to the data presented by the Chisinau city council, for now 127 teachers and 20 non-teaching staff in the capital are infected with the new coronavirus, and almost 100 are in self-isolation.
