Police registered over 40 complaints on violations in voting process

Chisinau, 1 November /MOLDPRES/- The General Inspectorate of Police / IGP / recorded today over 40 complaints on violations in the voting process. Most refer to organized transportation to polling stations.

IGP deputy head Marin Maxian said that so far, the law enforcement bodies have documented six cases of blocking the routes to the polling stations. Also, a case of blocking a polling station in Bender is also detected.

Police officers are investigating three cases of voter corruption. Eight cases of voter transportation to polling stations were also recorded. Also, 35 transport units were identified after trying to travel to the polling stations several times.

Maxian noted that today the police will be within 100 meters of each polling station. He urged citizens to a calm voting process, and if they witness certain incidents - to contact the police.

Over 6,000 employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs are involved in maintaining public order in today's election.
