As many as 1,499 cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours

Chisinau, 1 December /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 3,557 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 1,499 cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed. As many as 108,863 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.

According to data put out by the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry (MSMPS), 98 out of all cases are medical employees: physicians – 34, medical assistants – 48, auxiliary staff employees – 16.

A number of 3,755 patients confirmed with COVID-19 are put in hospitals, of whom 294 are in extremely serious condition (43 patients are connected to assisted breathing apparatus).

In the context, 5,368 persons are treated at home with easy forms of coronavirus and 29,482 are under supervision at the domicile.

Another 564 people have been treated and discharged. As many as 95,918 people were treated of COVID-19.

At the same time, MSMPS informs about the registration of another 19 deaths triggered by COVID-19, with 2,323people dead because of the virus till present. The virus killed also a family physician from the northern Briceni town. Fifty seven medical employees have died because of the COVID-19 infection till present.
