Measures to prevent, control COVID-19 infection extended by late 2020

Chisinau, 2 December /MOLDPRES/- The deadline for implementing measures to prevent and control COVID-19 infection has been extended by 31 December 2020. The government's decision to this effect was published in the Official Journal today.

According to the decision, the payment by the employer from the place of work / basic work of all salary rights to medical workers posted in public hospital medical institutions for hospitalization of patients who meet the criteria of the case definition for COVID-19 is maintained.

One-off allowance worth 16 thousand lei will continue to be paid to employers infected with COVID-19 of the National Public Health Agency, of medical institutions / subdivisions within the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Ministry of Defense, National Administration of Penitentiaries, public medical institutions hospital care, emergency pre-hospital care, primary care.

At the same time, the deadline for the application of certain rules, related to public procurement necessary for the prevention and control of COVID-19, such as the reduction of general deadlines in the open tender, restricted tender and call for tenders, the use of the negotiation procedure, without prior publication of the notice of participation in cases of extreme urgency, increase of the thresholds for the application of Law No131/2015, the possibility of advance payment for public procurement necessary for the prevention and control of COVID-19 infection.
