Luxembourg to support Moldova in implementing reform agenda, modernizing country

Chisinau, 2 December /MOLDPRES/- Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Aureliu Ciocoi had a phone conversation with Jean Asselborn, Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of Luxembourg, the MAEIE press service has reported.
The discussion of the two ministers offered the opportunity to exchange views on issues of common interest regarding the prospects of developing bilateral relations between the two states, including topics on the European agenda of the Republic of Moldova.
The Moldovan diplomat thanked the Luxembourg authorities for support in implementing development policies and reforms aimed at modernizing Moldova and thanked for the technical and financial assistance provided by Luxembourg in priority areas for our country.
In this context, the sides approached the ways the Luxembourg government can continue to support Moldova's European integration. Jean Asselborn encouraged the implementation of the reform and modernization agenda of the country under Moldova-European Union Association Agreement, and reiterated Luxembourg's support in this respect.
Other issues on the agenda focused on good cooperation between the two countries in regional and international organizations, including topical issues on the multilateral agenda.
The Moldovan official invited his counterpart to pay a visit to Chisinau.
