As many as 1,717 cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours

Chisinau, 2 December /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 4,282 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 1,717 cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed, of which seven import ones. As many as 110,580 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.

According to data put out by the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry (MSMPS), 104 out of all cases are medical employees: physicians – 38, medical assistants – 48, auxiliary staff employees – 18.

A number of 4,000 patients confirmed with COVID-19 are put in hospitals, of whom 279 are in extremely serious condition (51 patients are connected to assisted breathing apparatus).

Another 790 people have been treated and discharged. As many as 96,711 people were treated of COVID-19.

At the same time, MSMPS informs about the registration of another 20 deaths triggered by COVID-19, with 2,343 people dead because of the virus till present.
