Chisinau, 3 December /MOLDPRES/ - The MPs today voted the budgetary and fiscal policy in the first reading and took a break, after the opposition had blocked the rostrum and some lawmakers pushed each other. Meanwhile, more people protested against some drafts included on the agenda.

The disagreements started just in the beginning, when more MPs of the Action and Solidarity Party (PAS), Dignity and Truth Platform, as well as those from the Democratic Party and PRO Moldova informed that they refused to consider more drafts, among which also those on the budget. Moreover, some lawmakers came to grips while the finance minister was unveiling the draft on the fiscal policy for 2021. Following the incident, Deputy Parliament Speaker Vlad Batrancea instructed a one-hour break.

Afterwards, the faction of the Party of Socialists (PSRM) said that the party did not   try to keep its power and urged the opposition to submit a motion of censure against the government or vote for the budgetary drafts. ‘’If you want another government, come up with a motion of censure, overthrow it; it is not ruled out that we will even vote it, but you do not want to assume the governance. We are indignant by the fact that when we want a discussion on the content, you make panic, hysteria and show wish to destabilize,’’ Batrancea said. He added that, as to the parliament’s dissolution, the Socialists want this.

Today morning, several thousands of people, according to the organizers, 700 according to the police, gathered outside the parliament building to protest against certain legislative initiatives submitted by the Party of Socialists.
