Chisinau, 3 December /MOLDPRES/ -The MPs of the Party of Socialists (PSRM) and those of the Shor Party today approved in two readings the draft law which sees the getting out of the Intelligence and Security Service (SIS) from the Moldovan president’s subordination. The draft was passed with the votes of 51 lawmakers. The parliament’s opposition said it would appeal this draft, as well as the other drafts adopted during the today’s meeting at the Constitutional Court.

The document was voted in two readings, while the opposition continued to protest. The meeting was chaired by PSRM MP Vlad Batrancea and the drafts adopted were put to vote without being presented. Thus, without being considered and without debates, the parliament adopted the drafts on the cancellation of the anti-propaganda law, the draft on the special status for the Russian language, the draft on the special legal status of the Autonomous Territorial Unit of Gagauzia and the switch of SIS from the subordination of the Presidency to the one of the parliament.

Also today, the lawmakers approved in the first reading the draft budget of the state social insurances and the law on the mandatory health insurances accounts for 2021. The drafts are criticized by the opposition, which more times blocked the parliament’s central rostrum and informed that it would appeal the drafts at the Constitutional Court.
