Chisinau, 4 December /MOLDPRES/ - The Agency of Intervention and Payments in Agriculture (AIPA) has informed that farmers can submit applications to ask for compensations for the second-group crops hit by the drought.

AIPA territorial offices till 8 December will receive the applications on providing compensations to the farmers who had lands sowed with maize for the 2020 year harvest and were hit by drought at the level of over 60 per cent.

To get the financial assistance, the applicant should actually own or till farmlands sown with maize; have a bank account in the national currency (MDL) and present the data from truthful damage inspection reports compiled in the term established by the provisions of the current Regulation.

The files on demanding the compensation, along with the original documents, for which the copies are attached in file, are submitted by the applicant or his/her legal representative to AIPA’s territorial subdivisions in the territorial area where the applicant for compensations carries out his/her activity.

The size of the financial assistance per one hectare of farmland will be calculated by AIPA, based on the financial means available related to the overall eligible area, according to the files received.
