Chisinau, 21 December /MOLDPRES/- Chisinau mayor Ion Ceban today said he requested the government to increase allocations from the state budget.
He said at the online meeting of municipal services that the financial resources from the state budget are too small compared to the amounts that go to the state budget in Chisinau. “About 70 percent of the state budget consists of the activity of economic agents operating in Chisinau, and the municipality receives from the state budget only half of the income tax paid by private people. That would mean a billion lei. Too little for the development of the city ", he said.
He asked the government to review the situation and increase the amounts allocated from the state budget for the municipality.
"Many requests have been sent to the government to this end, I hope it will be taken into account in the parliament, regardless of the political color. The economic agents are based in the city, and they have claims to the municipality, but we have nothing of their activity. We want a clean city ", Ceban said.
