As many as 927 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours

Chisinau, 29 December /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 3,416 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 927 cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed, of which four import ones. As many as 142,851 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.

According to data put out by the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry (MSMPS), 49 out of all cases are medical employees: physicians –22, medical assistants –18 and auxiliary staff employees –9.

A number of 3,111 patients confirmed with COVID-19 are put in hospitals, of whom 163 are in extremely serious condition (36 patients are connected to assisted breathing apparatus).

Another 688 people have been treated. As many as 128,501 people were treated of COVID-19.

In the context, 7,107 persons are treated at home with easy forms of coronavirus and 34,173 are under supervision at the domicile.

At the same time, MSMPS informs about the registration of another 24 deaths triggered by COVID-19, with 2,934 people dead because of the virus till present.
