Actor, comedian Gheorghe Urschi turned 73 years old

Chisinau, 18 January /MOLDPRES/- Actor, director, comedian and writer Gheorghe Urschi, People's Artist, holder of the Order of the Republic, winner of the National Award, nicknamed "the king of humor", turned 73 today.
Gheorghe Urschi was born in 1948 in Cotiujenii Mari, Soldanesti district. In 1970 he graduated from the Boris Schukin Theater School in Moscow. He was an actor at the Republican Theater for Children and Youth Luceafărul. He has acted in many plays and directed dozens of shows.
Over more than four decades of activity, Gheorghe Urschi has written books, signed several plays, film screenplays and made numerous shows and concerts.
Gheorghe Urschi is a member of the Theater Union and the Writers' Union of Moldova.
In June 2011, he suffered a stroke, following a year of hospitalization.
In 2008 Urschi was awarded the Order of the Republic, in 2012 he was awarded the title of People's Artist, and in 2019 he was awarded the National Prize. In 2014, on his birthday, he became an Honorary Citizen of Chisinau.
