Chisinau, 18 January /MOLDPRES/ - President of the Constitutional Court (CCM) Domnica Manole today said that the parliament can be dissolved only in the conditions provided for in the Article 85 from Moldova’s Constitution.
According to the official, the Constitutional Court gave its opinion on the notification received on behalf of a group of MPs on the parliament’s possibility to be self-dissolved, through the adoption of a decision with the votes of two thirds of the lawmakers. ‘’The clear-cut texts must not be interpreted. The parliament’s dissolution before the term of four years is established in the Article 85 of Moldova’s Constitution,’’ Domnica Manole said.
Under the Article 85 of the Constitution, the Moldovan parliament can be dissolved, only if it is impossible to form the government or the procedure of laws’ adoption is blocked during three months.
