Speaker meets envoy of Turkey

Chisinau, 20 January /MOLDPRES/- Speaker Zinaida Greceanii had a meeting today with Ambassador of Turkey to Moldova Gürol Sökmensüer, the parliament's communication and public relations has reported.

The officials discussed Moldovan-Turkish cooperation in various fields, especially at the parliamentary level. The existence of good relations of collaboration and friendship was noticed, being accentuated the mutual interest for their consolidation in the future as well.

Greceanii noted the assistance offered by Turkey to our country in combating COVID-19 appreciating that this fact once again demonstrates the friendly attitude of Turkey to Moldova.

In another context, they discussed political situation in Moldova.

The speaker said that MPs resumed their activity within the standing parliamentary commissions, and the ordinary spring-summer session will be convened.

Gürol Sökmensüer wished the speaker and all members success in parliamentary work.
