E-government registered record number of users

Chisinau, 21 January /MOLDPRES/- The Electronic Government Agency (AGE) registered in 2020 a record number of users, transactions, signatures or registrations through online public platforms, which are becoming more and more popular every year, the AGE has reported.
According to the institution, in January - December 2020, over 20 million signatures were successfully applied through the Government Electronic Signature Service (MSign), which means an average of 1.86 million electronic signature operations per month (significant increase compared to 2019, in which the monthly average represented 1 million signatures). Currently, around 82 information systems have been integrated with MSign, of which about 71 are owned by public institutions and 11 economic agents.
In 2020, more than 48 million queries were made in the Government Platform for Data Exchange and Interoperability (MConnect), which is an average of over 140 thousand queries per day. In the context of the global pandemic, there is an impressive monthly increase. About five million queries were recorded in January 2020, and more than eight million queries were recorded in November. "Currently, 71 entities are connected on the MConnect Platform, of which 45 - public authorities, about 200 notaries, 26 companies in the private sector, of which 16 in the financial field and 10 are insurance companies. The process of connecting to MConnect is a continuous one, both for public and private entities ”, according to the Electronic Government Agency.
During 2020, electronic public services were widely used by citizens, and the process of improving and completing these platforms with new features and modules was intense, generating consistent results for e-transformation and modernization agenda of public services.
