Chisinau, 29 January /MOLDPRES/ - Heroes of writer Ion Creanga’s have a got a new digital life in 2D format, being interpreted in the Romanian, Russian and English languages. This happened, after the Kreyon studio had got financial support from the European Union for the carrying out of the project, Tales of Ion Creanga in 2D, implemented within the EU’s Confidence Building Measures programme, implemented by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).
A team of 20 people, among whom designers, illustrators, a sound director, a musician, translators and actors, worked during three months to animate the works by the well-known writer, Ion Creanga. Six tales by Ion Creanga were made in 2D.
„I got the idea when by daughter Sarah was born, for wish to be a good father. We wanted to reproduce the takes in the Russian and English languages, hoping that the Russian-speaking families from the right and left banks of Dniester, as well as the families who emigrated to various regions of the world, where children no longer speak Romanian, can see and understand them as well,’’ the project manager, Ion Savin, said.
The tales were broadcast at several TV stations from both banks of Dniester and are to also be placed on several information platforms, so that parents can gladden their children with Ion Creanga’s tales.
The EU’s Confidence Building Measures programme, implemented by UNDP, contributes to enhancing the cooperation between residents from both banks of Dniester through involvement of representatives of the civil society, mass media and the business sector in joint projects.
