More than 160,000 people infected with COVID-19 registered in Moldova in all

Chisinau, 1 February /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 1,382 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 282 cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed, of which one import case. As many as 160,086 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.

According to data put out by the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry (MSMPS), 15 out of all cases are medical employees: physicians –5, medical assistants –7 and auxiliary staff -3.

As many as 2,394 patients confirmed with COVID-19 are put in hospitals, of whom 249 are in extremely serious condition (42 patients are connected to assisted breathing apparatus).

In the context, 3,053 persons are treated at home with easy forms of coronavirus and 16,089 are under supervision at the domicile.

Another 412 people have been treated. As many as 150,502 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.

At the same time, MSMPS informs about the registration of another eight deaths triggered by COVID-19 and 3,446 people have died of coronavirus in all.
