As many as 917 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours

Chisinau, 3 February /MOLDPRES/ -A number of 3,302 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 917 cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed, of which 12 import ones. As many as 161,642 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.

According to the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry (MSMPS), 55 out of all cases are medical employees: physicians –14, medical assistants –25 and auxiliary staff -16.

As many as 2,471 patients confirmed with COVID-19 are hospitalized, of whom 240 are in extremely serious condition (43 patients are connected to assisted breathing apparatus).

Another 512 people have been treated. As many as 151,232 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.

At the same time, MSMPS informs about the registration of another 18 deaths triggered by COVID-19 and 3,480 people have died of coronavirus in all.
