Moldovans can pre-register for participation in electoral process

Chisinau, 23 February /MOLDPRES/- The Central Electoral Commission (CEC) informs that pre-registration is permanent and citizens entitled to vote can register for the next national elections or make changes to previously submitted data.
According to the national electoral administration, prior registration is one of the important criteria underlying the CEC decision on opening polling stations abroad and Moldova, for citizens eligible to vote in the localities of Transnistria, Bender and some localities of Causeni district.
Thus, voters can register beforehand all year except for the last 45 days before election date and have the right, at the latest 25 days before election day to cancel the previous registration. Thus, they are invited to fill in the online registration form on www.alegator.md and follow instructions. Registration can also be done on paper, by submitting an application signed individually or collectively to the CEC and / or diplomatic missions, consular offices of the Republic of Moldova.
The CEC will ensure the processing of data of voters who have requested prior registration in compliance with the law on personal data protection. Thus, information will not be passed on to other authorities, nor will it be published or used for any other purpose.
