Moldovan PM meets new Ambassador of Slovakia

Chisinau, May 31 / MOLDPRES /- Prime Minister Natalia Gavrilița had a meeting with new Ambassador of the Slovak Republic to Chisinau Pavol Ivan. She congratulated the Slovak official on the start of his mission in the Republic of Moldova and wished him success in fulfilling diplomatic mandate, the government's communication and protocol department has reported.
The sides reviewed the most important issues on the bilateral agenda, appreciating the recent visit to Chisinau of President of the Slovak Republic Zuzana Čaputová.
The officials reiterated the need to strengthen bilateral trade and economic relations. In this context, the Prime Minister emphasized the importance of a greater opening of the European Union market for Moldovan exports and pointed out that she relies on Slovakia's support in this regard.
At the same time, the Prime Minister thanked for the assistance provided through the Strategy of the Slovak Republic for the development of cooperation with the Republic of Moldova for 2019-2023.
Ambassador Pavol Ivan reaffirmed Bratislava's support for the European agenda of the Republic of Moldova, noting that the Slovak government will provide our country with the necessary expertise in this process.
