Moldovan PM says government to adjust salaries, pensions to current economic situation

Chisinau, 6 July /MOLDPRES/ - The government of Moldova is analyzing the market, the increase in prices and their accordance with the pensions and salaries or these payments will be adjusted to the current economic tendencies. Prime Minister Natalia Gavrilita made statements to this effect at a news conference held following the cabinet meeting which took place in Balti today.
„The government monitors the state of things emerged in more sectors and will take care for the country’s citizens, especially the ones from the disadvantaged categories, to be helped,’’ Natalia Gavrilita said.
According to the PM, presently, more support packages are worked out: for families, for pensioners, for public sector employees, for reducing the energy vulnerability, etc. ‘’We will have programmes of support for all social segments, which will surely be enforced as of the next autumn. It depends on the schedule of the parliamentary sessions; yet, starting from next October, it is for sure that we will have concrete plans for the citizens,’’ the prime minister noted.
The official also said that all drafts of the cabinet to this end would be by presented by Labour and Social Protection Minister Marcel Spatari in the near future.
