China donates mechanical ventilation apparatus to Clinical Hospital of Infectious Diseases for Children from Moldovan capital

Chisinau, 8 July /MOLDPRES/ - The Embassy of China in Chisinau on 7 July donated a mechanical ventilation apparatus to the Clinical Hospital of Infectious Diseases for Children from the Moldovan capital. The equipment will be distributed to the hospital’s intensive therapy section.
The director of the aforementioned hospital, Ludmila Birca, said the new mechanical ventilation apparatus was the eighth one of this medical institution. ‘’The equipments of this kind are quite necessary, as children sick with COVID-19 from all over the country are treated at the hospital. The hospital provides medical assistance also to the children of refugees from Ukraine, diagnosed with infectious diseases,’’ Birca noted.
According to the Chisinau city hall, in the last two years, 2.5 million lei (about 125,000 euros) was allocated from the local budget for the purchasing of modern medical equipment for the Clinical Hospital of Infectious Diseases for Children. At the same time, decision-makers undertook measures of optimizing the technical and material basis, the hospital’s sections were renovated and endowed with highly advanced medical equipment. Also, the laboratory, curative sections, the intensive therapy and reanimation section, the boiler room, as well as other subdivisions of the institution were repositioned and reequipped. Presently, works of repairing the pavements and playgrounds for children are carried out on the area of this medical institution.
