Bomb alerts recorded in Moldovan capital, Comrat city

Chisinau, 12 July /MOLDPRES/ - Bomb alerts today morning were registered at a commercial bank from Chisinau, at the Court of Appeal and at a lyceum from the Comrat city. The employees of the institutions and the people inside were evacuated and specialists from Bombteh investigated the area.
Contacted by MOLDPRES, the head of the communication and protocol section of the General Police Inspectorate (IGP), Diana Fetco, said that law-enforcers had been informed about the bomb alerts through a message sent by email.
„A bomb alert on 11 July evening was announced at the Chisinau International Airport and today morning at a commercial bank from the capital, at the Court of Appeal and at a lyceum, from the Comrat city. Following verifications, no explosive objects were detected,’’ Diana Fetco noted.
Law-enforcers opened a criminal file on this case. Under the legislation, the person who is guilty of deliberate untrue informing about the preparation of a blast is liable to be called to account under the Criminal Code and runs the risk of getting a fine worth up to 42,500 lei (about 2,125 euros), 240 hours of non-remunerated work for the benefit of the community or imprisonment up to two years.
