Moldovan parliament to host session of Parliamentary Assembly of Moldova, Poland

Chisinau, 12 July /MOLDPRES/ - Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu has had a meeting with new Ambassador of Poland to Moldova Tomasz Kobzdej, the parliament’s communication and public relations department has reported.
The discussions were focused on the regional and security situation, Russia’s war against Ukraine and management of refugees’ crisis. The speaker offered thanks to the Polish authorities for the humanitarian assistance provided to Moldova, in the context of the flow of refugees from Ukraine. The parliament speaker also expressed interest in the strengthening of the bilateral relations and turning to good account of the current potential, especially in such sectors and energy, agriculture infrastructure.
A special subject tackled at the meeting was the parliamentary agenda between the two countries. Moldova’s parliament is to host the eighth Session of the Parliamentary Assembly of Moldova and Poland.
”I welcomed the Polish diplomat in Moldova and wished him success in fulfilling his mandate. I assured him of our authorities’ every support. Poland is a reliable friend of Moldova and this was felt even stronger in the last years through projects on the country’s modernization, through political support at the European institutions and backing our European integration,’’ Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu said.
