Moldovan government approves plans of admission to higher education institutions financed from state budget

Chisinau, 13 July /MOLDPRES/ - As many as 8,732 young people will be admitted to the higher education institutions financed from the state budget of Moldova. The cabinet of ministers today approved the admission plans for the 2022-2023 academic year, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.  

Thus, the admission of 5,307 people to 26 general education fields, by 207 persons more against the year before, is planned for the higher degree education and higher integrated education. Taking into account the pressing need of teaching staff, as well as of specialists for children with special education requirements, the number of places with budgetary financing for sciences of education and social assistance has been increased. At the same time, the number of budgetary places was increased for consultants in the digital sector, developers of online contents and multimedia designers, taking into consideration the increase of the demand on the labour market.  

As many as 2,864 people are planned to be admitted to the higher master education (cycle II) and 455 people are scheduled to be admitted to education of clinical residency, as the residency education is compulsory for the professional training of physicians and pharmacists. 

At the same time, to motivate foreign students to continue the university education in Moldova, 106 budgetary places are seen, of which 76 for people with higher degree education and 30 - for master higher education.
