Sewerage system from southern Cimislia town to be extended

Chisinau, 14 July /MOLDPRES/ - The South Regional Development Agency (ADR Sud) and the Cimislia Mayoralty on 13 July signed a construction contract within a project on infrastructure concerning the extension of the sewerage system in this town, financed from the National Fund for Regional and Local Development (FNDRL).
The construction contract’s value is of about 36 million lei (appr. 1.8 million euros), of which about 32.4 million lei will be allocated from the FNDRL sources and about 3.6 million lei (10 per cent) will be covered from the Cimislia town’s budget.
The investment’s goal is to enhance the urban comfort and the settlement’s attractiveness for the citizens and investors through the extension of the sewerage system in line with the international standards.
As a result of the project’s implementation, about 5,200 residents of the Cimislia town, 277 enterprises, among which public institutions and economic agents, will be connected to a modern sewerage network and will get lasting access to quality services and public utilities.
The project, Extension of the sewerage system in the Cimislia town, was included in the Single Document Programme 2022-2024 on the list of priority ones. Subsequently, the National Council of Coordination of the Regional and Local Development approved the earmarking of 4.57 million lei for the works due to be carried out within the aforementioned project this year.
