Moldovan premier meets Dutch ambassador

Chisinau, 26 August /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister Valeriu Strelet today met Ambassador of the Netherlands to Moldova Johannes Hendrik Mattheus Van Bonzel, the government’s communication and media relations department has reported.
The two officials highlighted the evolution of the bilateral relations between Moldova and the Netherlands, noting that they had boosted over the last time. The sides referred, in particular, to projects carried out by Dutch investors.
Prime Minister Valeriu Strelet thanked the government of the Netherlands for backing Moldova in its modernisation effort and alignment with European standards. "We highly appreciate the substantial financial and technical assistance provided by the Netherlands in priority areas for the country: small and medium enterprises' development, human rights, institutional capacity building. The Moldovan government is determined to take the necessary actions to create the infrastructure conditions and ensure financial stability, in order to become more attractive to Dutch investors", the premier said.
The Dutch ambassador congratulated Prime Minister Valeriu Strelet on his appointment to the office and reiterated the Netherlands’ support for further implementation of the European integration agenda in Moldova, justice reform, fighting corruption and democratization of the society.
The officials also discussed the government's priorities, including macro-financial stability, attracting foreign investments, boosting exports to the European Union.
The Netherlands is among Moldova’s top foreign investors. Presently, 96 Moldovan-Dutch companies are registered in Moldova.
