Moldovan PM attends official opening of Diaspora Days

Chisinau, 28 August /MOLDPRES/- Prime Minister Valeriu Strelet today participated in the official opening of Diaspora Days. In his speech, the official said that the government took enhanced efforts to speed up implementing reforms, restore stability and prosperity in Moldova, which would motivate Moldovans to come back home, the government's communication and media relations department has reported.
"At the same time, I am happy for Moldovans living abroad, who managed to assert themselves in the countries and became valuable people having a high position in society. Thank you for promoting Moldova's image and involving in activities meant to familiarize foreigners with the traditions, culture and skills of our people, appreciated worldwide", he said.
The premier urged representatives of Moldovan diaspora to involve in completing the Diaspora-2025 Strategy, document which would contribute to building a communication platform between authorities and Moldovans staying abroad. "I would like to assure you that our voice is heard, firstly via the Diaspora Relations Bureau, and wishes displayed on several occasions are on the list of priorities that need to be carried out as soon as possible", he said.
The event is organised the second year in a row by the Moldovan government via the Diaspora Relations Bureau. The Diaspora Days are held on 28-30 August. The Moldovan authorities, representatives of diaspora and international partners will debate on a draft strategy Diaspora-2025, involving and using human potential of diaspora.
