Exhibition occasioned by Independence Day of Ukraine opened in Moldova

Chisinau, 28 August /MOLDPRES/ - An exhibition by Ukrainian artists living in Moldova titled "Metamorphosis of space III" was opened at the National Museum of History today. The event is dedicated to the Independence Day of Ukraine.
The exhibition comprised of about 50 works by Ukrainian fine artists living in Moldova: Irina Suh, Vasile Ivanciuc and Alexandru Drobaha.
Charge d'Affaires of Ukraine in Moldova Hennadii Altukhov, representatives of diplomatic missions accredited in Chisinau and others also attended the event.
Interviewed by MOLDPRES, Charge d'Affaires of Ukraine in Moldova Hennadii Altukhov said the creation of the three artists who are part of the Ukrainian diaspora was successful Moldova and abroad.
At the same time, the Ukrainian official thanked the Moldovan leadership and foreign embassies accredited in Chisinau to support the sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity of Ukraine. Referring to the Moldovan-Ukrainian bilateral ties, Hennadii Altukhov found that beyond our historical ties, Moldova and Ukraine had a common future in the European family.
For his part, artist Alexandru Drobaha said it was the third time when he and two of his colleagues - Irina Suh and Vasile Ivanciuc - displayed their works together.
"We are linked by more things. The three of us have graduated from the same institution - State Institute of Applied and Decorative Art in Lviv, Ukraine. We also use the same techniques in our works", Alexandru Drobaha said.
According to Union of Artists of Moldova President Dumitru Bolboceanu, the three Ukrainian painters are quite active in the organisation he leads. "They participate in many group exhibitions and are winners of national and international competitions", Dumitru Bolboceanu said.
The event opened with the State anthem of Ukraine and Moldova. Charge d'Affaires of Ukraine in Moldova Hennadii Altukhov, Union of Artists of Moldova President Dumitru Bolboceanu and painter Irina Suh took the floor at the official opening.
The exhibition will be open until 3 September.
