Chisinau, 29 August /MOLDPRES/ - Valeriu Strelet paid a visit to his home village, Tareuca, Rezina district, on 28 August. The prime minister attended the ceremony of blessing a new set of bells which will be set up at the local Nasterea Maicii Domnului (Assumption of Virgin Mary) Church, the government's communication and media relations department has reported.
The prime minister, who is also one of the founders of the church, highly appreciated the way people in the village have contributed financially to purchase the bells, as well as the sanctuary's renovation that began two years ago. "Together with the villagers, we managed to raise these splendid domes and bring the bells. We have to take pride in this chamber, because we need faith, sincerity and openness in these tough times. I thank all the villagers who were involved. It represents a good example for the whole country. I wish your children and homes health and prosperity", the prime minister said.
Valeriu Strelet added that there were many other things to be done both in Tareuca, and in all settlements of the country. The prime minister gave assurances that he would undertake considerable efforts for Moldova to become a country where everybody felt good.
