Polish voivodeships interested in developing new partnerships with Moldova

Chisinau, 10 September /MOLDPRES/ - Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign and European Integration Minister Natalia Gherman today met Voivode of Lodz Jolanta Chelminska and Voivode of Cuiavia-Pomerania Ewa Mes, the Foreign and European Integration Ministry's information and media communication service has reported.
The officials addressed projects implemented with Poland's support and reiterated the importance to attract more Polish investments into the Moldovan economy.
Gherman thanked for Poland's financial assistance, provided via the Development Assistance programme for such areas as public security and border management, regional development, strengthening capacities of central and local public authorities, agriculture and rural development.
Gherman also proposed to continue programme on taking over good practices from the Polish side in the sector of local public administration, as well as making experience exchange between public servants.
For their part, Jolanta Chelminska and Ewa Mes reiterated the interest in developing new partnerships with Moldova, firm support of European aspirations and active promotion of Moldova's interests, with a view of aligning with the European standards.
