Moldovan speaker, heads of parliamentary commissions discuss legislative agenda

Chisinau, 11 September /MOLDPRES/- Parliament Speaker Andrian Candu and the heads of the parliamentary commissions had a working meeting today. The officials addressed the parliament's agenda in the autumn session. Attending the meeting also was Deputy Parliament Speaker Liliana Palihovici, the parliament's communication and public relations department has reported.
Candu said that the parliament would hold its first ordinary meeting of the session on 16 September. The standing commissions, working groups, other working bodies of the parliament will resume their activity starting from the next week.
The legislative programme for the 2015 autumn session on meeting the transposing-related commitments, assumed within the Moldova-EU Association Agreement, comprises about 80 normative documents. The document contains a string of drafts meant to adjust the national legislation to the EU acquis, as well as the legislative documents for justice reform, health and social insurance, energy and business development sectors. Also, 28 legislative documents, submitted by government and presidency ,are registered for consideration in the parliament.
The speaker said that the MPs would return to the agricultural legislative package in the autumn session, to pass it in the second reading. He said that the Supreme Court of Justice would propose to the parliament a string of normative documents for discussion, in the context of the justice reform.
"In the autumn session, we will have a full agenda. Under the legislative plan, the MPs will start working hardly starting from the next week. The standing bureau is to decide on the first plenary meeting of the autumn session," he said.
The participants in the meeting discussed a string of aspects on efficiently organising the parliament's work and legislative process, collaboration between parliament and government.
The speaker said the parliament's activity was to be optimised on the next period by applying the e-parliament concept. Candu also informed that, by late 2015, the draft was to be given the final touches, and financing sources identified with the development partners' support.
