Chisinau, 11 September /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister Valeriu Strelet and Parliament Speaker Andrian Candu held a joint working meeting today. The officials announced the priorities of the two institutions for the next period.
At a news briefing, Candu specified that the meeting was necessary, in order to coordinate the agenda of both institutions and discuss priorities for the months to come. „We coordinated things related to the standards regarding the implementation of the Association Agreement and we tackled a string of technical issues as to the work in commissions and ministries. I hope that such meetings will be welcome at least once a month,” Candu said.
Valeriu Strelet highlighted that 33 draft laws, needing to be considered first and foremost, among which a string of adjustings in the justice, prosecution reforms and bills on integration of national minorities, had been addressed at the meeting.
„The speed of the legislative process will be increasing. The number of drafts coming from the government will be larger. We have the action plan for the implementation of the Association Agreement,” Strelet said.
The parliament will hold the first ordinary meeting of the autumn session on 16 September.
