Moldova to attend 70th Session of UN General Assembly

Chisinau, 16 September /MOLDPRES/- An official delegation, led by Prime Minister Valeriu Strelet, will represent Moldova at the 70th Session of the United Nations General Assembly. The cabinet took a decision to this end today, the government's communication and media relations department has reported.
The delegation will participate in the session United Nations General Assembly (UN GA) in New York, as well as in UN Summit to adopt the Post-2015 Development Agenda. During the summit, Prime Minister Valeriu Strelet will present Moldova's vision on global sustainable development actions.
It is worth mentioning that this issue is a jubilee one, dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the United Nations. Thus, a broad participation of heads of state and prime ministers in the mentioned event is anticipated. The officials will approach global political trends, with each UN member state having possibility to present national interests and prerogatives in this respect.
The Moldovan delegation will also have bilateral meetings with heads of delegations of other participating states, meetings with high-ranking representatives of international organisations, participation in actions to promote development interests of Moldova and a meeting with the Moldovan diaspora in New York.
